Distressed Investing

Shackleton Equity Partners has unique expertise in distressed investing. Similar to our private equity strategy, we primarily seek investment in the following distressed situations:

• Healthy Divestitures – Sale of business by distressed parent company (including 363 asset sales)
• Distressed Divestitures – Historically mismanaged business; albeit in a growing market / industry
• End-of-life Divestitures – External industry challenges such as disruptive technologies

Distressed situations may include short-term liquidity issues, long-term debt obligations, manufacturing cost overruns, end-of-life products and services, and other special situations.

Given our unique combination of operating, finance, and investing experience, we are able to manage all aspects of the investment process including due diligence, industry analysis, operations, and turnarounds.
